The last of my swimwear posts with Urban Outfitters, so I'll be keeping myself clothed around here for the foreseeable future. Heh. This bikini by Amuse Society is my absolute favorite mostly because of the little silver embellishments. Not cheaply flashy, but just enough for a little bit of added interesting texture. Moving onto some real shit, which is something I don't do enough of on here. I shot these in front of the fridge for a reason: body image. I'm sick to death of being told that we as females need to pick either the mac & cheese or the bikini. Living in NYC was probably the only time in my life where I ever felt so strongly uncomfortable in my own body. I'm a size four, & because I have an ass & hips that don't lie, I was judged in a negative way by a lot of people. That's as ridiculous as it sounds. A size four people. The way that the fashion industry & society as a whole views beauty is so beyond fucked. But a two is the new four & a four is the new eight. I don't know that this will ever necessarily change, but I think just speaking about it is something to start with. So while I'm, ahem, letting it all hang out so to speak, I'd like to say, just eat the damn mac & cheese & drink the cheap champagne if that's what makes you happy. Because I'm all about being on the pursuit of happiness these days.
