this or that: pashli v. diego.

Desperately in need of an investment black leather bag & if you know me in real life, then I've probably bothered you daily with questions of 'Pashli' or 'Diego' for the past month. With my indecisive-ness at an all time high, I now come to you, internet friends, to help me with this ever important decision. Help a gal out?

  2. I've recently bought the Diego in grey, and I absolutely love it but it's really hard to get into as it had a really small opening! Still think it's amazing though!

  3. I would pick the first one, it looks like it can carry more and has more compartments so it can be organised better :) But the other one is very nice too. I'm sure whichever one you pick, you'll style it to a T!

  12. I'd absolutely go with the diego. It has been around for such a long time and it's still one of my favourite bags. I honestly think it's timeless. Also, to me, the pashli is a bit overrated.

    Happy bag shopping :)

  15. Wow, these are both fantastic but I like the Phillip Lim bag better. Classic, functional, but still a bit edgy. It's a great pick! xo

  17. hello pretty one.

i love them both and have inspected them to try and figure out which one wins my affection... i found diego to have a beautiful shape...the type of shape that flowy nothing dresses insists on as a companion. the shape that a pair of skinnies and an oversize knit looks delicious with... but quite a small opening which causes digging and pulling when trying to locate items. i also found it to be rather heavy with the gorgeous hardware adorning it... i chose the Rocco bag instead because it seemed easier to get into. i believe you had it at one point?
i love it but it is so so heavy.
now pashli is the sort of bag that holds its own. perhaps a little less easy to wear... but when sat atop a table it tends to draw a crowd. the form is really special. it has a 1920's doctor bag feel that i find incredibly sexy. i think it goes with everything in a more structured way than its competitor. worn with a slip dress, leather jacket, hair loose, it can give a jane birkin/rich hippie allure... it's timeless and looks like it ages really beautifully.
i look forward to future posts with your new investment.

  21. Definitely Pashli! I guess it's because I'm a control freak who needs different pockets to put her things in, but all in all, Phillip Lim is never disappoints!
