Can we take a time-out to discuss "it" colors? I kind of hate them. I mean last spring I was so into mint but didn't buy a single mint piece because of my strong distaste towards labeled "it" colors. & then along comes ox blood & I'm just like "fuck" because I'm really into this color. So it was like, I could either ignore a color I really like all season for absolutely no reason at all or I could just stop being an asshole & buy what I want (the faux leather sleeves on this dress.. I die). Also, ox blood sounds so much better than burgundy.

    Trends are annoying. I like trends in the way they introduce new fabrics and colours and ways to wear things, but I hate following them.

    dang you'r eperfect. I feel the same way . "maroon" has always been my favorite color, so it's kind of annoying when it's all of a sudden in style.

    That being said, it's also kind of a cool term, andit means I get to pretend I'm stylish for a bit.

    You're right, not because a color is trendy we have to include in our closet ... maybe it doesn´t fit us just do not like. But it is also true that it is hard to find colors that are not "in". I've been looking for a navy blue shoes and no where to find them because the "it" color is the blue klein ....

    I COULD NOT AGREE MORE. Sorry for the caps, but I just had to do it. So sick of hearing 'this color is so on trend' or 'this color is so hot right now' ... it's a COLOR and it will keep 'coming back' because it doesn't change. And it's become that every spring it's either 'brights' or 'pastels' and then when the weather gets cold it's 'dark and moody' - so predictable.
    Anyway, sorry for the rant; you look wonderful!
